Galen and Memorial Health Celebrate Groundbreaking of New Pooler Campus

On Tuesday, August 20, we celebrated a major milestone in our journey at Galen College of Nursing and Memorial Health. We officially broke ground on our new campus in Pooler, where we’ll be joining forces with Memorial Health.

The new Memorial Health Pooler Campus will be a state-of-the-art facility, spanning three stories and over 67,000 square feet. We’re looking forward to its completion in the fall of 2025. The groundbreaking ceremony was a special moment for us, with leaders from Galen, Memorial Health, and HCA Healthcare coming together to mark the start of this exciting project.

Brad Talbert, CEO of Memorial Health, couldn’t have said it better: “Pooler is a vibrant community, and we’re excited to be part of its growth. This new campus will continue to offer our essential services and introduce a new breast imaging center. We’re proud to invest in Pooler and enhance our patient care.”

For us at Galen, this new campus will be more than just a building. It will be a cutting-edge learning environment with advanced classroom and simulation technologies. We’re committed to creating a space that supports and inspires our students, reflecting our dedication to high-quality education.

Our CEO, Mark Vogt, shared his thoughts with us: “We’re truly honored to become a part of the Pooler community, and we’ve felt so welcomed. This groundbreaking event is a testament to our commitment to addressing the nursing shortage by training the next generation of nurses. We’re excited to contribute to the health and growth of this wonderful region.”

Audria Denker, our Executive Vice President of Nursing, highlighted the importance of this new facility: “The opening of this campus means more opportunities for people to start nursing careers, helping to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community. We’re excited to support our students as they grow and succeed in their nursing careers.”

Looking ahead, our Pooler campus will offer a 2-Year Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), and we’ll soon introduce a 3-Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and LPN/LVN to ADN Bridge programs.

As we embark on this exciting journey, the new Memorial Health Pooler Campus represents a significant step forward for us all. We can’t wait to see the positive impact it will have on our programs and the Pooler community. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us!
