Galen Launches New DNP Degree Programs

We are excited to announce the September 2 launch of Galen’s new online Doctor of Nursing Practice and its two degree options: Executive Leadership and Academic Leadership. The application window for the Fall session is now open and will close on July 31.

The program is designed to prepare graduates for the highest levels of leadership and practice in healthcare and academic settings and marks a significant milestone in Galen’s journey as a leader in quality nursing education.

Executive Leadership

The Executive Leadership option is an advanced, practice-based terminal degree designed to prepare graduates for the complexities of today’s healthcare landscape. Graduates of this degree option will be equipped to become transformational leaders, capable of effecting positive change and improving systems and community-based health outcomes.

Academic Leadership

The Academic Leadership option is a specialized, practice-based terminal degree that prepares professionals to excel as leaders in nursing education, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to drive transformative change in academic settings and improve nursing education and professional development programs.

The DNP Program is committed to producing graduates who are prepared to:

  • Function as leaders who strive to facilitate optimal outcomes using innovative, collaborative, and analytical processes.
  • Integrate theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practice research to achieve ethical, inclusive, and methodological approaches toward all aspects of nursing practice.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge and skills as foundational information to guide decision-making associated with the complex role of a doctorally prepared nurse.
  • Evaluate information for appropriateness and applicability using systematic approaches and critical appraisal strategies.

More information about the programs can be found in the DNP Program section on the new GalenCollege.edu website.
