Congratulations To Our Faculty Of The Year Award Winners

At Galen, our commitment to excellence in nursing education is exemplified through the dedication and passion of our faculty. We are thrilled to announce this year’s recipients of our Faculty of the Year Award, recognizing outstanding educators across our campuses.

The Faculty of the Year Award was established in May 2021 by Dr. Audria Denker to honor faculty members who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their students, colleagues, and the nursing profession.

This year we received 555 nominations, up from 280 last year.  We even had a total of 248 unique faculty members nominated by students who felt inspired and motivated by their educators.  This highlights the growing appreciation for our faculty’s hard work and dedication.

Students nominated faculty based on the following criteria:

  • Serving as a role model and mentor for faculty, staff, and students
  • Inspiring and motivating faculty, staff, and students
  • Demonstrating compassion for patients, faculty, staff, and students
  • Exhibiting an infectious passion for teaching, scholarship, and service
  • Exemplifying emotional intelligence, engagement, adaptability, and encouraging reflective evaluation for continuous personal and professional development
  • Embracing the Galen College of Nursing values

Recipients of the Faculty of the Year Award receive $1,000 in Professional Development Funds, a certificate, and a trophy, recognizing their significant contributions to our community.
